If you’re in real estate, imagine how you can host your own live show during one of your open house events. Out of state clients can now see the property in the comfort of their home. Sellers can tell their sphere of influence to watch their property being broadcast live. Buyers that are unable to make it due to a schedule conflict, weather conditions, you name it. No more excuses.

Watch the video below on how someone in UK is utilizing this with her own cooking tv show.

Whenever there is a shift in societal behavior, tremendous opportunities are created for those of us who have the right vision and entrepreneurial spirit. It happened with the invention of the television, the telephone, the computer, the internet, social blogs, and streaming video. And it is happening again with the dawn of the Digital Age!

Need proof?

Today there are 100’s of millions of digital devices in the marketplace.

Approximately $2 billion is being spent on streaming video services per year. This number is projected to grow to $12 billion in the next couple of years.

MySpace has over 106 million users, signs up 230,000 new users per day while YouTube boasts having 20 million visitors per month.

MySpace and YouTube are mere bulletin boards for posting content. Unlike our product, helloWorld, they offer no digital asset management or content creation.

The digital age is here to stay. Streaming video is quickly becoming a standard fixture on many popular websites, and it’s just in the infancy stage. The Internet is evolving into a place where all media, entertainment and information meet. And VMdirect is already there. So, act now and start making money today in this emerging multi-billion dollar industry.

VM Direct, just in case you didn’t know, has made video email the next BIG thing on the internet. They have brought it into mainstream with Hello World. First of all, just to avoid confusion, you should know that VMDirect and helloWorld are both the same company. VM Direct has revolutionized a new technology that allow you to send video email easily and affordably.

Warning! We have spent $113,317 testing and reviewing different opportunities and money making strategies. Whether it’s stock market investing, real estate investing, internet marketing, direct mail, MLM, or buying a franchise, we’ve been scammed, cheated, and lied to! It took testing hundreds of opportunities to find out what works and what doesn’t.

Hello World and VM Direct are sweeping the country as a new business franchise as well. To be quite frank with you, I initially dismissed Hello World as yet another one company that promised the world but doesn’t deliver. I called one of Hello World’s representatives and he gave me a lot of useful information on the company. After doing more due dilligence I have come to a few conclusions.

The bells are starting to ring again that email is dying.

I’m reading reports that email use is on the decline and
online users are spending less and less time communicating
by email.

What are Internet users doing instead?

Some reports say they’re spending more time at social
networking sites. Others say users spend most of their
time online looking at content as opposed to chatting or
using email.

In either case, the reports paint a bleak picture for emails’
future.

As an email marketer since 1995, I have to say, I’ve heard
the cries before that emails is dying. The simple fact is
email is not about to wither away.

Are social networking sites and interesting content sites
growing in popularity - absolutely! But email will continue
to hold its own as a valuable tool and marketing vehicle.

In fact, email marketers can participate in social
networking sites, like MySpace, Facebook and LinkedIn to
build their email list. And with the rising popularity of
video, v-mail (video email) is going to transform email
marketing.

As an email marketer now is the time to look to the future
and consider how you can incorporate video into your
email marketing campaigns.
Why should you consider video?

According to Pew Internet & American Life Project “fifty-
seven percent of online adults have used the internet to
watch or download video, and 19% do so on a typical day.”

A recent comScore report also found that more than three-
quarters of the US online population over the age of 15
initiated a video stream in April.

Plus video is an incredible viral tool. Pew Internet &
American Life Project found “more than half of online
video viewers (57%) share links to the video they find with
others, and three in four (75%) say they receive links to
watch video that others have sent to them.”

And viral videos are hugely successful at generating site
traffic! A study conducted by Marketing Experiments
showed that a video they created, with no advertising
expense or promotion, was viewed 324,000 times in just 60
days. The video generated 4,162 clicks to their site and
1.49% of viewers went on to become newsletter
subscribers.

So how can you start to use video email effectively?

Here are 5 basic tips to get you started:

1) Understand the Limitations

Video emails can not be viewed in Outlook or in web
based email programs. These applications disable the video
clips. Therefore, do not try to embed your video into your
emails - the result will be most never see your video
message.

2) Use an External Landing Page

Instead, inside your emails give readers a URL to go to see
the video on your web site or at youtube.com. Provide a
click to view option in the email. Thus readers can choose
if they wants to open the video or not. If people are at work
or on the road with a Blackberry, they’ll likely hold off on
viewing a video until they’re at home later.

3) Include a Call to Action

In the video ask viewers to act upon the offer you make.
Provide a 15% off coupon or a sign-up today pitch.

4) Provide a Tell-a-Friend Link

As statistics show many videos are passed on to friends,
make it easy for your video viewers to tell their friends.

Have a form right on your video landing page that allows
readers to quickly email a note to their friends about
your video.

5) Give Viewers Control

Consumers want to be in control of the marketing
relationship. Therefore make sure your video gives them
the control they desire. Allow viewers to decide if they
want to see the video, i.e. don’t trigger the video
automatically. Give viewers the control to pause, stop
and/or replay your video. And be sure to allow viewers to
control the volume.

Here’s one extra point for good results:

6) Be Short and Sweet

Make your video under 5 minutes. Remember attention
spans are short and people like to browse. So a quick
message will have more impact than a long one.

Email marketing is far from dying. It is transforming!
Use these 6 basics to get started in including video in your
emails. See if a little video sparks up your results.

What’s bad is that perhaps you left a comma? Period! Exclamation point off whack. And you really want to add that sideway smiley face just to ensure that the reader will know you have a sense of humor. But in business, the smileys can often be unbusiness-like.

Even worse, the reader didn’t even care about any of the above, and you got all riled up for nothing.

But worst of all, is the fact that they did care and they just prejudged you and went on to the next real estate agent. They didn’t even get to read page 2, the ‘meat and potatoes’. Well, we know this is a bit too extreme, but it can happen.

Well, you can still continue with a text email but how about adding a more personal touch with video email? People want to communicate face to face with their friends, family and business prospects because it helps keep the personal bond alive and improves message retention. Now, with the incredible VMdirect products and services offered with this program, they can! I use video email every day and have experienced more positive responses than ever before.

This article is taken from Florida Realtors Magazine, a free subscription if you belong to the Florida Association of Realtors:

Every now and then a technology comes along that changes your life and you give up the old way of doing things. Kimberly Hawk, a sales associate with RE/MAX Executive Group in Kissimmee, credits an inexpensive e-mail tool called helloWorld with radically changing the way she does business. Via video-streaming software, helloWorld lets Hawk create video emails and instantly send them to anyone in the world. Instead of writing a traditional e-mail, Hawk simply videos herself talking to the e-mail recipient who then can watch a video instead of read an e-mail.

The program helped Hawk turn one sale into three sales. “An investor-client in New York was interested in one of my listings, so I made a video and e-mailed it to him the same day,” she says. “I always say the date so they’ll know it’s fresh. The integrity of the process is improved 100 percent because I highlight things they would notice if they were walking through the property with me. Instead of buying just one house, now he’s talking about possibly three purchases.”

There are several video email providers from which to choose, but Hawk was introduced to VMDirect’s helloWorld (a Web-based program) when an affiliate showed up at one of her open houses and told her about it. The product costs either $10, $20 or $40 per month, depending upon which features the user wants.

Here are five benefits Hawk derives from video email:

1. Create That “Wow” Factor
Our society has become much more “visual,” and most people simply don’t have time to read text-intensive e-mail messages, says Hawk. “I have a huge database of people who e-mailed me in years past, and I’m responding to them and hearing back from them whereas before they really weren’t saying anything back,” she says. “Now, when people see and hear me in a video e-mail, and all these extra senses are involved, they immediately say, ‘Oh, that’s really cool’.

“I have a web camera that sits on my desk, I press record and speak into the camera and when I’m done I type in the e-mail address where I want to send my video message.”

When a recipient opens one of Hawk’s e-mails, he or she will see a “filmstrip” of about five still images of Hawk, and a message that reads: “Hi [Recipient], Please tap on the filmstrip below and disable any pop-up blockers so you can see my message.” All the recipient needs is a high-speed Internet connection and he or she can view Hawk’s video in seconds. There are no downloads, so hard drive space isn’t used.

2. Strengthen Relationships
A resident of Celebration (the town that Walt Disney World built) since its inception in 1996, Hawk makes an effort to get to know her neighbors. She finds that helloWorld helps her break the ice at community events. “I recently videotaped a neighbor’s child winning an award,” she says, adding that she uploaded the video to the VMDirect server the same day, clicked a button and instantly sent the video to the child’s parents. “Now they’re saying that if they ever sell their house they’ll call me.

“Within the past few months, my [face recognition] has multiplied a good 30 percent, with people stopping me in the street and saying they know me from somewhere,” Hawk adds. She has no doubt that her video marketing emails have created a sense of familiarity. Her video e-mails also include a link to her Web site.

3. Enrich Marketing Efforts
According to Hawk, helloWorld has helped her attract a global audience for pennies compared to the cost of traditional marketing. “I’m trying to get away from things that people throw in the trash,” she says. “Just look at sending out 1,000 postcards at $2 apiece. That’s $2,000 a month, and you never know who’s looking at them. For just $40 per month and a couple of mouse clicks I can broadcast my own real estate video blog, do live Web casting and send unlimited video e-mails. It’s not invasive, and I get e-mail verification so I know my video was watched.”

Virtual tours also cost Hawk next to nothing. “With most virtual tours you have to hire a camera crew and they have to edit the video. With helloWorld you take your camcorder to the home and do the tour, then upload it and publish it the same day. You can put music behind it too. It puts you in control.”

Word of mouth, or viral marketing, represents just one method of marketing. Others include print, radio, television, Web sites, and blogs.

Online video is changing the way we market, and it requires skill sets they don’t teach in business school

On one hand we have marketers believing their “unique selling proposition” is as interesting as the “Numa Numa” kid. On the other, we have today’s ADHD-prone video viewers demanding short entertainment whether it is promotional or not.

So the rules are fairly simple: Keep your promotion short, interesting, edgy and give us a surprise that makes us want to forward your clip. After all, it’s not a “viral video” if nobody wants to share it.

Lesson One: Tap Video Creators
We online-video creators and watchers are a community that’s not shrinking and not growing slowly. Your customers are among us unless you’re targeting the maybe 10%-20% of people that haven’t watched an online video.

And here’s the best kept secret. Some of us will promote a brand for a modest fee. While some YouTubers are certifiably nuts, others can be your spokesperson and a way to connect with large audiences. And some video creators will make a promotional video for less than your agency bills you for that lunch meeting; others will do it for free product samples.

Although the scalability of these programs is currently limited (unless you create one of the extremely rare viral sensations), the return on investment is often better than paid search.

Lesson Two: Quality Doesn’t Mean Popularity
My most popular videos are far from my best. Almost every day my videos rank in the “highest rated” section of the comedy category, and yet I’m far from the funniest creator on YouTube.

When I featured a 14-year-old using a fart machine in a public library, I never dreamed “Farting in Public” would get nearly 4 million views. Though popular videos tend to be short, funny and shocking, there are other variables that have as much influence on getting the video seen.

Many second and third-tier sites will give entertaining sponsored videos preferred placement for relatively small amounts of media spend. Got $10,000? Use the money to help get a clever sponsored video seen instead of pouring it into a black hole of unseen banner ads.

Lesson Three: Try Product Placement
While some clever advertisements (with surprise endings, humor or sex) do become viral, most ads don’t translate online, and it’s a rare promotional video that gets millions of views. The smarter play is to sponsor popular video creators to create entertainment with product placement.

This requires brands to let go of overt marketing messages and trust the instincts of creators to please their audiences.

Lesson Four: It’s Not Just About Contests
While contests are pervasive tools to engage online video creators and audiences, they’re just one tactic among many. Smarter brands are connecting directly with prominent viral video creators. These folks have huge subscriber bases and fans, and are often delighted to get paid relatively small amounts for a sponsored video.

Lesson Five: ‘Tagging’ Video Is Just a Start
Keywords may get your video to rank in searches, but there are far more effective ways to get your videos seen, such as title and thumbnail.

A short funny video with a surprise ending will be exponentially more viral. That said, well-tagged videos can help brands in search. Do a Google search for “Healies” (a misspelling of the shoe called “Heely’s) and you’ll find my “Poor Man’s Healies” videos near the top of the results page. Meanwhile, Zappos and Dick’s Sporting Goods are bidding against the keyword and paying for each click.

Lesson Six: Video Views Don’t Mean Sales
I learned this the hard way. The conversion rate from viewing a video to visiting your site is not much better than the low-single digits of direct response. That means you either need metrics for the “worth” of a view or hope your video is seen millions of times so the direct-response metrics aren’t embarrassing.

Lesson Seven: The ROI Disconnect
A $250,000 production cost makes a return on investment difficult. Since fewer than 2% of people will visit a Web site after a video, a good ROI requires a low production cost and the highest number of views possible.

Lesson Eight: Not All Portals Are Created Equal
The vast majority of online viewing occurs on YouTube. Putting your videos on a bloated-product.com site is the online equivalent to running television commercials on a kiosk hidden in an abandoned cemetery.

Lesson Nine: Conservatives Welcome
Conservative legal and public-relations policies have prevented many marketers from entering into a dialogue with prominent video creators. Most marketers have seen at least a few videos that mention their own brands or those of competitors, but some brands remain squeamish about something as simple as an online-video contest.

Doritos, Dove, Heinz and Mr. Clean were just a few of the brands that invited consumers to submit to contests to win cash, prizes, fame or a chance to be on TV.

Some brands fear running a contest because they don’t want to be ridiculed. But brands will be bashed by disgruntled consumers via online video whether or not their companies dabble in the space.

Quietly watching from the sidelines is no insurance policy and certainly won’t grow revenue. So refraining from online video in fear is no smarter than those companies that were afraid to market online back in 1998.

Lesson 10: The Medium Will Be Measured
As it matures, video will become as measurable as search. But for the time being, the most controllable variables are cost of production and total views.

Kevin Nalts is a career marketer (formerly with Johnson & Johnson) and now is a consumer-product director at a Fortune 100 company. A self proclaimed ‘Viral Video Genius,’ Nalts writes about the convergence of marketing and online video at WillVideoForFood.com. He is authoring a book titled ‘The Prophet of Online Video’ and creates sponsored videos for such brands as Mentos, GPSManiac, and DoMyStuff.

A lot of people prefer watching to reading, especially on the computer screen. Calling movies a ‘video’ is actually a misnomer – it is ‘audio + video’ or what is called an AV. Audio Visuals have been seen to have a far greater retention level among internet viewers than written information.

It is no wonder, therefore, that video advertising is fast becoming a major internet marketing tool for selling products and services.

Advantages of Internet Video Advertising

The main advantage of Internet marketing videos over the traditional text format approach is that videos can get to the point much faster. Even a static visual is worth a thousand words, it is taught in graphic design schools. Imagine what a moving visual, or the movie, can do in delivering your message to the viewer.

The viral edge is another advantage Internet videos have over other traditional marketing channels. There is no better marketing strategy than ‘word-of-mouth’. Websites continually share and serve popular content driven by user choice. The speed at which videos are picked up, shared, and distributed is unparalleled to any other.

Internet Video sharing sites like ‘youtube’ are a rage today, and this is a reflection of the choice of internet surfers. New sites like LeadsbyVideo are coming up with video sharing innovations which are great for online marketing.

A video ad can actually demonstrate a product’s usability, so don’t just say it, show it!. A nicely produced visual message with a human touch can do wonders in reaching out emotionally to the customer. Does the quality of the video matter? Yes, of course. Like in other marketing tools, there are experts available who can produce the right movie to suit your product, and budget.

A Few Tips

1. Use the videos on the first page. It’s like handing out your business card. The first page recommends you, and the first impression is a lasting one. Don’t tuck your marketing video away, on some inside page. Make it visible.

2. Always have a ‘call for action’ – something that the customer will feel like doing immediately, like clicking on a link, or filling up a form.

3. Search for the tools that can tell you how much of your video was played before the visitor closed it, how many prospects actually decided to pay your site a visit after watching your video, how many of these visits converted into sales, and so on.

4. Today you can track traffic on the website and analyze results. Make an extra effort to measure the impact that your videos have had on the prospects, and to measure their performance.

5. Use Search Engine Optimization techniques to generate leads. Remember, videos are a gourmet dish for search engines, so give it proper time and prepare it with extra care. Use the right ingredients, so to speak.

Go ahead, share your video!

Thanks, Mac Craig, for contributing this article. He is an internet professional who has been serving several firms as an online marketing consultant.

Is Network Marketing the Ideal Business Model?

It is often said that network marketing is the perfect business. It seems logical that many people in the business say this, since a statement like that could draw new people into the business. “This really is the perfect business!” could be just what your prospect needs to get the courage to make the decision and join your network marketing company. But is that all it is? Just a great statement to be used in an attempt to close people, or is there actually any truth to it? Of course not everybody shares this positive image of the industry. Many people think quite the opposite of network marketing. Busloads of people would laugh when someone would refer to it as ‘the perfect business’ because they don’t even consider it a business in the first place. They might still have the picture of a bunch of housewives gathering around the kitchen table to sell each other plastic cups and lingerie as a hobby. Obviously not everybody evaluates a business by the same criteria but with global revenues exceeding 100 billion dollars it just doesn’t fit the description of a hobby anymore. It’s serious business.

Fortunately a lot has been written on the subject over the years, by people outside and inside network marketing. Robert Kiyosaki is a good example of a successful entrepreneur and best selling author, who has not made his fortune in network marketing. He isn’t even in the business. But he is a strong advocate of the industry because of its power and potential. He also explains why, in his opinion, this industry offers the best chance of success for an individual that wants to start a business these days. He claims that network marketing companies have a system in place, much like a franchising formula, that have proven to produce results if you stick to the system.

So if we have established that network marketing is indeed a business, the question still remains: “How perfect is it?” To answer this question let’s look at this from the perspective of someone that wants to go out and start a business.

We are already seeing some changes on our viewing patterns. I, for one, get my news online. First I check the online version of my local neighborhood TV Station in Tampa. Then I check cnn.com and msn.com. No more waiting to see if I missed any important news, but rather I watch and click the news of my choice.

A great article on newteevee.com, they stated that Forrester has the most bullish estimate yet for online video advertising spending in the U.S.: $7.1 billion by 2012. That’s after a 72 percent compound annual growth rate for the next five years, building on total spending of $471 million this year.

That tops eMarketer’s July estimate that online video advertising would be worth $4.3 billion in 2011 — by Forrester’s growth curve (see chart above), revenues would already have already passed the $5 billion mark by then. Another contrast: eMarketer’s estimate depended on monster growth early on — an 89 percent growth rate to $775 million in 2007 — followed by 40 percent growth through the next five years.

Forrester analyst Shar VanBoskirk praised the emergence of “customer-centric” ad formats like the overlays used by VideoEgg, YouTube and others, which, rather than forcing an ad in their video streams, allow viewers to decide if and when to pause a video to watch an ad. She wrote, Vanguard marketers and brand mainstreamers, including Nike, Disney, and Nestle, are already advertising with VideoEgg — and with good reason. YouTube tests show that video overlays generate five to 10 times more clicks than banner ads.
